Station Fire Mostly Contained, Air Quality Back to Normal

The Station Fire in Los Angeles County that once threatened Mt. Waterman ski area and the historic Mt. Wilson Observatory  is now 87% contained after burning through 160,500 acres. Throughout the county, air quality has improved from hazardous to moderate and even good in some areas. Obviously, near the source the air is still smoky and thick, but in most other areas, air quality is back to normal for this time of year in Los Angeles—which probably isn’t very good in general come to think of it…certainly not like it is in the mountains…oh ski season, why can’t you get here faster!!
