Breckenridge Ski Resort is launching a new base area named Peak 7, the first newly built base area since Peak 9 opening in 1971.

The new base area includes the Crystal Peak Lodge with a ski school and rentals.  There will be a new restaurant called, Sevens which has also a tapas bar and drive-in window for skiers.

The new area will also be serviced by a stop of the Gondola.

Breckenridge has got to have one of the coolest towns in the world.  A great mix of the stepping back and keeping up.

But the best part about skiing Breckenridge is…catching that rare glimpse of famed Paul Maxwell catching turns and floating on powder.  He’ll be the guy with two pontoon boats on each foot floating above the powder, three cheerleaders and that Spanish Dos Equis guy following him taking notes.
