The Salt Lake Tribune reports that The Weeping Rock Trail is now reopen after a massive rock slide buried a portion of the trail.  The popular Zion National Park is one of the most popular trails in Zion and a favorite of locals as well as out of towners. No one was injured in the slide.

Volunteers from the American Conservation Experience along with the park’s trail crew removed the rock and dirt as well as repaired the damage.  The half-mile trip climbs 98 feet to a rock alcove with dripping springs and hanging plants.
