Every year the USSA Foundation hosts a series of gala balls to help raise funds and awareness for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Teams. And like clockwork, that series is about to get underway.
The Ski and Snowboard Balls are open to the public, and with your required donation, you gain entry to a cocktail party where you can mingle with athletes, a five-course dinner, evening entertainment including performances by the Flying Ace Allstars (a trampoline show performed by U.S. Freestyle Ski Team aerialists and Olympic trampoline stars) and a special meet-and-greet autograph signing session.
First stop? Boston. There you’ll be able to hobnob with World Champions Lindsey Vonn and Hannah Kearney, along with 2006 Olympic gold medalist snowboardcross star Seth Wescott. Other stops include the Bay Area (where you can meet Olympic silver medalist Shannon Barhke, downhiller Steven Nyman, and Olympic medal hopeful Emily Cook, among others), New York (often the most star-studded affair of them all) and Chicago. There’s also a special reception in Los Angeles.
If you’re interested in attending, visit www.ussa.org/foundation for more information.
