Bode Miller to Announce Plans at Press Conference Thursday Morning in Los Angeles

A press conference has been scheduled Thursday morning at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with Bode Miller and the head coach of the U.S. men’s alpine team, Sasha Rearick.  All parties are staying mum on whether Bode Miller will be competing on the World Cup circuit this upcoming season, what his Winter Olympic plans are, and the possibility of Miller rejoining the U.S. Team.

Miller is the greatest American skier of all time, with two overall World Cup titles, four World Championship gold medals, two Olympic silver medals, and a whopping 31 World Cup victories.  Last year, however, was Miller’s first season without a win in eight years.  At 32 years-old, he’s still in the prime years of a racing career, and last year was more the result of bad luck and bad health

Bode has always been unpredictable, so I won’t bank on anything ahead of the press conference.  But, even though I’m not a religious man, that won’t stop me from praying that we get one more season out of the monster genius on skis, aka Mr. Bode Miller.
