Newschoolers Awards at International Freeski Film Festival: Poor Boyz Win Best Film

The 2009 International Freeski Film Festival in Montreal came to one gigantic, rousing finish with the Newschoolers Awards.  Ski royalty was in full force with awards handed out by Simon Dumont, Mike Douglas, JP Auclair, Sean Petit, Laurent ‘Lolo’ Favre, Dane Tudor, Nick Martini, Eric Iberg, JF Cusson, Tom Wallisch, and Henrik Harlaut.  Three divisions, a pro, an amateur, and an “open” category for both.  A big highlight of the evening was the jury’s open award presented not to a film, but in tribute to Shane McConkey
