The Gulberson Fire in Ventura County continues to char the northern edge of Moorpark today.  In total the fire is expected to pass the 10,000 acre mark sometime today, threatening 1000 homes.

The fire is also threatening five high voltage power lines that provide power to most of Ventura and Santa Barbara.  Mandatory evacuations are in effect for residents between Moorpark and Fillmore.  Northern Moorpark is under voluntary evacuations.

Super low humidity and high temps continue to hinder fire fighter efforts.  The fire is only 10 percent contained.  More than 850 firefighters are battling the blaze.  Three firefighters have been injured in the efforts.

The Station Fire, the largest in LA County’s history, is expected to be fully contained by Thursday night, according the U.S. Forest Service.  A 20-acre spot in the Twin Peaks area of the San Gabrial Wilderness did flare up on Wednesday, but firefighters assisted by aircraft were able to douse it.

The Norco fire burned just over 160 acres, but no homes, and is 60 percent contained.
