Save the Peaks Coalition Suing US Forest Service for Expanding Ski Resort in Arizona

The US Forest Service had plans to expand the Arizona Snowball Ski Resort onto another nearby mountain. There’s just one problem. That mountain is held sacred by Native American Indian Tribes. So, now we have a lawsuit. It’s been filed by the Save the Peaks Coalition. Along with the mountain being sacred, the Coalition is complaining that the Forest Service is being careless in making snow that is treated with wastewater. Not healthy for human ingestion apparently. So, this lawsuit is being filed even though 3 months ago The Supreme Court rejected an appeal based on pretty much the same argument…so we’ll see if this goes anywhere.
