Photo of Lake Tahoe kidnapping victim in tabloid

Since her release from 18 years of captivity, South Lake Tahoe resident Jaycee Lee Dugard has been kept away from the media and at an undisclosed location in Northern California with her family.  The National Enquirer released, what they thought, was the first adult photograph of the kidnapping victim.  However, Dugard’s family says that the picture is of someone else.  The Enquirer claimed that the photo was from one of Phillip Garrido’s printing business cards, and it is a shot of a young, blonde woman.

Wayne Thompson was given the card by Garrido, who ran the business out of his house and has been accused of kidnapping and raping Dugard.  Thompson said Garrido gave it to him and put Dugard’s picture on it “to show what he could do with photos.” A spokeswoman for Dugard’s family says that “the family flatly, emphatically states that it is not her, not even close.” To see the photo in question, click here
