South Lake Tahoe kidnapping victim Jaycee Lee Dugard has not publicly spoken since her release from 18 years of captivity.  However, through her attorney, McGregor Scott, Dugard apparently had mixed emotions when her alleged captors, Phillip and Nancy Garrido, were arrested.  Now, she has acknowledged that “some terrible things were done to her,’ and as TSC indicated last week, she will be prepared to testify when they do go to trial.

The Garridos are charged with rape and kidnapping, and have pleaded not guilty to 29 felony counts.  Scott did not say what Dugard has told him or investigators about what happened while living in the backyard compound at the Garridos.  He did say that right now, Dugard and her daughters, ages 15 and 11, are seeing psychologists, doctors, and dentists.  In addition, her daughters are getting birth certificates.  The family has been at an undisclosed location since the Garridos were arrested in late August.
