Michelle Obama versus Matt Drudge in Chicago Olympic bid

Chicago is putting its best foot forward, and considering that Michelle Obama is out in front, we’ll certainly see what she’s wearing on those feet.  The first lady and pop culture fashion icon is lobbying on behalf of Chicago’s 2016 Olympic bid.   The Obamas have, according to the first lady, adopted a “take no prisoners” approach in the fierce competition.

Well, the first prisoner Mrs. Obama might want to take is Matt Drudge, whose site has been trumpeting a tragic gang killing of honor student Derrion Albert as “Olympic Spirit.”

Mrs. Obama arrives in Copenhagen tomorrow a day before the President.  The International Olympic Committee is meeting there. On Friday the IOC will review bids from the competing countries.

As cold as Chicago gets during the winter, why not go for the double, with the Winter Olympics there too?  Villa Oliva ski area, 28 miles from Chicago, has a whopping 180 foot vertical drop.  That would cover about the first turn of an Olympic downhill
