Nearly $1 million pounds of cocaine… “white gold texas tea.  We’ll the first thing you know Jed’s a millionaire”…Oh sorry
So Telluride one of the coolest ski resorts and one of the coolest mountain towns in the entire world… A bust with 15 lbs of Cocaine?  Geez Laweez.  Five people arrested.  I heard it’s really blowing in Telluride!  There sure is a lot of snow …  Sorry, this is too funny to me.  In an effort to stimulate season pass sales…
OK, here we go.  On Wednesday morning, 5 people were arrested in raids of the La Tapitia and the Telluride PIzza Kitchen conducted by several Government Agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office and the Seventh Judicial District Drug Task Force.  15 lbs of Colorado snow with a street value of $900,000 was recovered.  Officers from Reno 911 were brought in to destroy the cache.  Sorry, again.

Two Telluride homes were also searched.  Five Spanish males between the ages of 21 and 34 were arrested and 2 were charged with selling cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.  Bond is set at $5 million for each defendant.

The Telluride Marshal’s Office, The Mountain Village Police Department, U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, Montrose Police Department, and the Durango Police Department all helped execute search warrants following complaints about drug trafficking in the area.
