One former teammate and one current teammate chimed in with two decidedly different takes on the Bode Miller’s return to the U.S. Ski Team.

One of the most successful U.S. speed skiers of all time, Daron Rahlves, insinuated that Miller’s return has as much to with a need for attention than anything else.  “He’s a hard guy to figure out. … I think he’s saying he’s not going to do it (Olympics) just to create some waves, and he has gotten a lot of attention.”

Lindsey Vonn, on the eve of Ball Season, told the AP that she looks forward to Bode’s return to the team. “He’s a great athlete, and he’s always had great results.  I look forward to having him back on the team.”

Folks might need a little Phil Jackson inspired Zen.  Don’t judge, just observe.  Observe Bode Miller, the mad genius of skiing and the greatest American skier of all time.  Enjoy athletic brilliance while you can!  Amen.
