Snowbird receives first snowfall with 20 inches in the forecast

Just over a half-foot of snow has fallen at the base of Snowbird Wednesday, with 20″ forecasted by Thursday afternoon.  A good sign that another monster snow season is on the way for the Little Cottonwood Canyon resort.  Last year a mind-boggling 621 inches fell.

The mountain is slated to open November 21, but, altogether now, if we get down with the pseudo-science of New Age religions, let’s all envision skiing in October.  We shall manifest our vision through the collective consciousness!
