The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) is being launched as an organization to promote interscholastic mountain biking in the U.S. The league was originally established in Northern California ten years ago and now has sponsorships from companies such as Specialized and Easton Sports Development Foundation and will have programs in place in Southern California, Colorado, and Washington. The focus is on growing the sport and creating enthusiasm for mountain biking, and all cycling sports across the country.
