An employee at the Silver Mountain Ski Resort was found on Sunday after he was missing for hours.  43 year old Joel Kopf left the resort on an ATV at 7am Sunday morning to set up a race course, and was reported missing at 1pm.  According to Shoshone County Sheriff’s deputies, “search teams scoured the mountain for Kopf, and called on the help of Fairchild Airmen from the 36th Air Rescue Crew, and a Med-Star helicopter.”

Sunday evening an airman in the helicopter found an overturned ATV in “a remote area with steep terrain.”  Search crews found Kopf downhill of the crash site.  Kopf was then taken to Kootenai Medical Center for “treatment of a head wound.” The deputies told the press that the injury Kopf suffered was not life-threatening.
