Big props to Molly Terry, founder of Ski Jamin, a new nonprofit that introduces minority and underpriveledged kids from Fresno Central Valley to snow sports in the mountains.  The program is free for kids.  Around 50 kids have already signed up, ages 9-12.  Ski Jamin will take the kids to Badger Pass and Sierra Summit for 12 Saturdays during the season for ski lessons, led by PSIA-certified Brian Nelson.

The Southwest Fresno Police Department and Fresno Parks Department has donated the transportation.  Herb Bauer Sporting Goods has discounted the rental gear.

“Our main goal is to expose kids to snow,” explains Molly Terry, fundraising event planner for the program. “Then, we want to excel those who are passionate about it.”
