FIS Changes Rules for Nordic Events

The FIS is a going ahead with new rules that will hopefully improve the sport for athletes and audiences.

The new rules allow for a even playing field as the weather conditions change. Jumpers may have the option to change their starting point.  Of course the judges will have the ultimate say  of when jumpers can change their starting point.  So now a jumper will be judged on start point, takeoff, landing and of course distance.

Hopefully the changes will add excitement this season, especially in Vancouver.
