Grand Targhee nabs Tamarack’s Director of Food and Beverage

Grand Targhee Resort has appointed Peter Baker to the position of Director of Food and Beverage.

Baker joins Grand Targhee from his most recent role as Director of Food and Beverage at Tamarack Ski Resort in Donnelly, Idaho where he managed five establishments ranging from fine dining to a casual pub, a food court and a coffee and pastry shop.  While Baker was with Tamarack, the ski resort was recognized for executing the best hospitality services on the US Snowboarding Grand Prix tour and was ranked among the top resorts for Food & Beverage in national RRC surveys.

“I’m thrilled to become part of the incredible team at Grand Targhee Resort,” said Peter Baker.  “It’s my personal goal to add value to the overall guest experience at Grand Targhee ski resort this season by providing quality food and beverage products and services that are familiar, delicious and hearty.  I also believe it’s equally important to supplement that approach with items that are outside of the expected typical ski area fare, including ingredients that are unique, organic and sourced locally.”

Baker began his career in resort food and beverage service as the Executive Sous Chef at Orchard Park Country Club in Buffalo, NY.  He moved to California as the Executive Chef at Kirkwood Resort before taking a more operational role as the Assistant Food and Beverage Director at Kirkwood.  His experience behind the line combined with his operational background gives him a unique perspective on all aspects of resort F&B management.
