Danelle D’Aquanni Umstead, a visually impaired alpine racer on the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team and her husband (and guide) Rob Umstead recently dubbed themselves Team Vision 4 Gold with their focus on the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver. The pair is also set to ski on the Adaptive World Cup tour, and is currently training to reach their gold medal goals.

Last season proved to be successful for the pair, as they claimed three bronze medals at the adaptive World Cup Finals, in Whistler, BC. This season Rob and Danelle hope to upgrade those medals a couple notches–which based on their solid results, is a very real possibility.

This Saturday, October 17, Team Vision 4 Gold will be hosting a dinner in Park City, UT to raise funds to compete during the 2009/2010 ski season. Dinner 4 Gold will take place at the Prime Steak House at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $75 per person and $140 per couple and include a three-course meal and a raffle ticket.

If you can’t join the Umsteads for dinner, visit vision4gold.org to learn more about them and donate to their cause.
