OK, don’t worry, I’m not hating on the good ol’ US of A, but come on guys. Are you feeling like a slave to the cubicle? Many complain that we Americans simply work too many days out of the year. Are you one of the many? Then consider living in Lithuania, where residents get 41 days, or eight weeks, off every year. They get in trouble if they take any less than 28 days off, in addition to the 13 public holidays. Lithuanian Dina Kopilevic said ”people take a lot of time, especially in the summer, because a lot of them own places outside the cities, in villages and by the sea. We take it for granted, probably.” A lot of Americans own places outside the cities too, but that doesn’t count as an excuse for us to take more time off!

So if you lived in Lithuania, you’d get oodles of time for vacation, and you could use it for the incredible skiing they have there. Go ahead and indulge us, skiurlaub-infos.com:

“Rather stable winters and well-groomed slopes and good infrastructure offer great possibilities for your winter holidays. So if you wish to have excellent skiing vacation you should consider visiting Lithuania…beautiful landscapes draw tourists there again and again. Skiing and snowboarding infrastructure is excellent and suited both for professionals, as well as beginners. Lithuanian winter resorts can offer you lots of slopes, lifts, equipment rentals and cross-country trails. There are very good opportunities for all ski lovers, so your skiing holidays should be a success. Facilities for all kinds of skiing and snowboard as well are open for you 24 hours a day. This allows you to indulge night skiing. The slopes are romantically lit by custom lighting system.”

Convinced?
