The Heene family of Fort Collins, Colorado, is known for conducting extreme science experiments together and storm chasing, according to the father’s page on MySpace. This also isn’t the family’s first time on TV, as they were featured on the ABC show “Wife Swap.” According to the ABC website for the show, “When the Heene family aren’t chasing storms, they devote their time to scientific experiments that include looking for extraterrestrials and building a research-gathering flying saucer to send into the eye of the storm.” That “flying saucer” was the balloon that people thought the Heenes’ son, Falcon, was flying around in earlier today. However, Falcon Heene was safely found hiding in a box in the attic at the family’s home.
