New Hampshire slopes are opening as early snow falls

An early snow storm has rolled through parts of New Hampshire today and residents are flocking to the ski slopes to enjoy it.  Resident of Littleton Garrett told local newsstation WMUR that in this weather there isn’t anything that could “stop him from going to the top of Cannon Mountain.”  “It’s a little early, but now that it’s here, it could stick around,” he said.  Cannon Mountain has a skier carving its first tracks of snow this morning.  Cannon representative Greg Keeler stated that “He came down skiing and had his dog with him.  He fell over, didn’t care, got back up again and thought it was the most awesome thing he’s done in a long time.”

The snow wasn’t as well received on Mount Washington, however, as the 4-foot storm made it impossible for snow plows to safely clear the drifts.
