The trial of Phillip Garrido will be highly anticipated by many, but according to the District Attorney’s office, it will not likely begin for another two years.  He is scheduled to return to court on October 29 for a preliminary hearing, but his attorney has filed a six-page request asking for a wide amount of information, included a list of prosecution witnesses, and whether any of them have any convictions of felonies.  Susan Gellman, Garrido’s public defender, is asking for “all relevant real evidence seized or obtained as part of the investigation.” Garrido and his wife, Nancy, are charged with 29 felony counts in relation to the abduction of South Lake Tahoe girl Jaycee Lee Dugard.
