Is there domestic violence in the Balloon Boy household

Denver – In Larimer County sheriff Jim Alderden’s statement today, he noted that there was an incident where a 911 call was made from the Heene house, but the caller hung up when the operator got on the line.  This is supposedly something that is common in domestic violence cases and that is what the sheriff suspects.

Associates of Richard Heene have called him a shameless self-promoter probably creating more concern from police that Falcon Heene and the other children could be subjected to potential domestic violence issues. The sheriff suspects that Heene was performing a publicity stunt to draw attention that could help him launch a reality television show.

If true, he likely underestimated the fallout from the stunt as air traffic had to be re-routed and virtually the entire world was glued to television and web. The incident took place in Fort Collins which is in northern, Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains and is the home of Colorado State University.
