The awesome deals offered by ski resorts are definitely getting some attention. Advance reservations for January and February at mountain resorts throughout the western U.S. and Canada are up 16.9 percent and 6.9 percent, respectively. The date was released Monday by the Mountain Travel Research Program (MTRiP).

This is great news for some top ski resorts such as Mammoth Mountain, Loveland and Arapahoe Basin ski area, who have already kicked off their 2009-2010 ski season thanks to some early snow storms.

The report also noted that stable travel costs and a more favorable U.S. exchange rate are several indictators that consumers are starting to spend more compared to recent months.

The buzz of an early winter season has certainly been heard loud and clear and what better way to spend your hard earned dollar than to ski or ride down your favorite mountain resort.
