We’re not talking about the epic ski films from the likes of Warren Miller, Greg Stump, and now Simon Dumont, so if you’re looking for  seriously “good” films that are serious about their skiing…you may want to stop reading.

We’re talking about all the great flicks throughout the years that all seem to have the same basic plot line: Ski bum doesn’t know how to take life seriously and has a conflict thrown on his head that threatens the well-being of the ski resort. Suddenly he has to take life seriously and save the day…all while getting the chick that’s way too hot for him (and gratuitously nude) and somehow outsmarting the evil corporate sleazebag/arrogant and good-looking ski pro who’s trying to thwart his plans. Righteous.

So here’s a pretty comprehensive list of some great ski movies throughout the years. Which lead the pack, and which should we forget about? Thank you to Skiing The Backcountry in Bend, Oregon for compiling this list.

Just throwing it out there: my vote goes to this first film. Goofy always beats out any competition–and the plot veers from the one I mentioned above.
