Jaden South, a folk band compromised of two talented women will perform in Vail Valley this Friday at the Main St. Grill.

The band’s history sounds like something out of fairy tail. After earning their recording degrees in nashville and completing internships in the industry, Jessica Draper and Deborah DeLoach back their bags for NYC where they performed and worked for two years without much success.

Soon afterwards, they managed to snag Grammy-winner David Leonard – who produced albums for Paul McCartney, Prince, Rush and the Indigo Girls – to produce their debut album ‘Leading the Horse.’

Jaden South’s music starts from a singer-songwriter’s perspective, but its backbone of influence is a little heavier, with influences ranging from Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac to Neil Young and the Beatles. “We just try to write from an honest place,” Draper said. “It’s all real-life experience — all things close to our heart.”

The show starts at 10 p.m. and more information, call (970) 926-2729.
