Lindsey Vonn is in the start gate.

For all race fans those are seven words we’ve been waiting seven months to hear.   Saturday it’s on!  The Soelden glacier course starts at 9842 feet, so let’s hope LIndsey brings her lungs.  Lara Gut is out, Americans Jessica Keeley and Resi Stiegler are in.

Vonn just arrived in Soelden and filed this report:

My training camp in Pitztal is finally over and now i’m in Soelden preparing for the race on Saturday. The past few days of training have been really good so I am going into the race with confidence. Tomorrow is a day off (I get to sleep in!), F…riday is freeskiing on the race hill and Saturday is show time. I am going to be really busy until after the race but I’ll try to write when I can. Fingers crossed! Xoxo Lv
