Good news! Mt. High has officially caught up with the iPhone application technology.

The ski resort announced that November 15th will be the release date for its new iPhone application. As most people with iPhones are aware of, this application will create more buzz for the resort that is literally a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Los Angeles and Orange County.

The application will provide users with current mountain information such as snow conditions and trail openings, plus it displays lift ticket prices and gives the user the ability to purchase from their phones.

The application also helps you plan out your vacation with information on lodging, lessons and weather forecasts. You can even sign up for the Powder Alert, where you receive emails or text messages alerting you of new snow, ticket deals, and upcoming events.

“Skiers and snowboarders are savvy and like being on the cutting edge of things,” said John McColly, director of marketing. “With our new application, their phones become the ultimate tool for navigating the mountain, booking the best ticket price, or finding the perfect powder stash.”

The application is just $1.99 and can be purchased through Mountain High’s website at mthigh.com or Apple’s App store beginning November 15th, 2009.
