On Saturday, the 2010 Audi FIS World Cup season kicks off.  Joining Linsdey Vonn and Ted Ligety from the U.S. Ski Team are Warner Nickerson, Jessica Keeley, and Resi Stiegler.

Warner received a bronze medal in the giant slalom at last year’s Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championship, and earned a starting spot in Soelden by beating out Dane Spencer in a time trial. “I put down a pretty solid run on the top and really nailed the line coming onto the flats,” said Nickerson. “It hasn’t quite set in, but I’m just psyched to still be skiing and ready for whatever comes.”

Both Jessica and Resi suffered injuries last year, but Resi was still able to secure a top 20 slalom finish in last year’s Audi FIS Alpine Championship. This will be Jessica’s second straight start in Austria.

Rock on guys!!
