LA Angels can start skiing

Just like their Los Angeles counterparts a few miles north of them, the Los Angeles Angels have the privelege of beginning their off-season right. If they want, they can head to Mt. Hood, Arapahoe, Loveland etc. and start skiing right now! They lost out on a World Series spot last night by losing the ALCS Game 6 to the New York Yankees, 5-2.

This is the 40th time the Yankees will miss out on early season skiing by having to go to the World Series. Blame Yankee pitcher Andy Pettite, who pitched a brilliant 6 1/3 innings, giving up only 1 run. Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon, Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixieira also played well.

Notice how in a World Cup, you’ve actually got people from all over the world competing, where as in a World Series, it’s just Americans. Hmm.
