Mt. Bachelor, near Bend, Oregon has enjoyed some snow this week, and another storm is fresh on its heels. Here’s the report  from Mt. Bachelor’s Alex Kaufman:

“Here’s the latest from Mt. Bachelor.

The snow started at 12:40 pm on Monday. We saw 2” on Monday, 6” overnight and another 4” today. Storm total of 12”. Light snow showers continuing. Cascade Lakes Highway closed this morning at Mt. Bachelor.

The winds have been strong throughout so we have significant drifting as can be seen in these photos www.flickr.com/mtbachelor. Some places have little snow, Southeast faces have more than 12”.

Forecast right now is for next storm to come through with a higher snow level (8000 ft) so we are waiting to see how that pans out.

Current opening projection remains Nov 20 at this time.
