Pilots who overshot Minnesota airport get licenses revoked

The FAA has just announced that the pilots who overshot a Minnesota airport by 150 miles have had their licenses revoked. In addition to flying past their desired airport, the pilots went silent for 78 minutes as air traffic control tried to speak to them. Control thought at first that the plane might have been taken over by terrorists.

The pilots, Capt. Timothy B. Cheney, 53, and First Officer Richard I. Cole, 54, claimed they were distracted because of their personal laptops. The pilots were apparently browsing around theskichannel.com for so long that they lost track of both time and space.
