Colorado Powder Alert: Boulder, Larimer counties

Posted By: The Ski Channel on October 28, 2009 7:42 am

Colorado has been hit with its first major winter storm of the season today! The storm was significant enough to make headlines in NBC’s “Today” Show. Nothing like Al Roker getting all amped up about the snow and ski season.

Snow has completely covered parts of the state, shutting down schools and making traffic less than enjoyable. Hopefully all the drivers just have skiing on the brain, so it’s OK. The snow will continue to be heavy throughout the day today, and will most likely continue through Thursday. Some areas expect 4-8″ more today, while Jefferson, Boulder and Larimer Counties are hoping for an additional foot! Loveland, anyone??

Be safe out there folks, and enjoy the snow!
