In this, its inaugural winter season, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour is an amateur series that will hold contests at 10 ski resorts across the country throughout the month of January, including a total of 30 slopestyle (snowboard and freeski) competitions and 21 superpipe (snowboard and freeski) contests. The winners of each event will square off at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals at Mount Snow Resort in Vermont in February.

Snowboarding disciplines will have separate competitions for men and women, while the freeski contests will be open to both.

The winner in each of the 51 contests will be flown to Mount Snow for the Finals, which will be held in conjunction with the Dew Tour’s Toyota Championship, Feb. 5-7. One champion will be crowned in each of the six disciplines, and the two overall snowboard superpipe and slopestyle champions and the overall freeski superpipe and slopestyle champions earn a spot to compete against the pros at the first stop of the 2010-11 Winter Dew Tour the following season.

The Gatorade Free Flow Tour is open to all amateur snowboarders and freeskiers 21 and under. FUEL TV coverage will include a half-hour show following the conclusion of the season, Daily Habit features throughout, and two mid-season segments in the Weekly Update.

Contest registration forms, waivers and detailed information are available at gatoradefreeflowtour.com. There is a $20 entry fee, and all participants under the age of 18 must bring a parent or guardian to the event to sign a liability waiver. Registration is limited to 110 competitors per stop.
