In preparation for ski season, economy finally sees growth

Didn’t we say this economy would be good for skiers? Well, turns out skiers are good for this economy. The economy saw its first signs of growth in the third quarter, with GDP rising 3.5%. This unofficially marks the END OF THE RECESSION. Clearly, this has happened due to a surge of spending as people prepared for the early ski season by purchasing tons and tons of gear and other apparel. I mean, I can’t think of any other reason why this would happen.

OK, what might have helped was the federal stimulus package and more business spending, including more homes being built…but those things were marginal in comparison to ski gear purchases…

Although this is indeed good news, it doesn’t mean we’re out of the woods at all. Economists are worried this growth will not last into the fourth quarter, so we need to prove them wrong by hitting up as many ski resorts as possible. WIth all the deals flying around, it’s not crazy to think you can give yourself a ski trip vacation before the end of 2009!  Do some research, and see what you can swing.

Way to put the country back on track skiers and snowboarders!
