Scary good deals offered in Lake Tahoe ski areas

It’s Halloween weekend, and several Lake Tahoe ski areas are offering up some scary good deals to celebrate…and to help us all out a bit considering the dismal state of our economy.

First off, if you choose to buy a Tahoe Card membership for $49, here’s what it includes: A free Sugar Bowl Ski Resort lift ticket, member-only lift ticket discounts up to $14 at Alpine Meadows, DIamond Peak, Mt. Rose, Boreal, Squaw, Sugar Bowl, and Northstar, a one-time free pass to Tahoe Cross-Country and Royal Gorge, and lodging, dining and various other discounts. Not freakin bad. Pick up a Tahoe card at snowbomb.com.

At Squaw Valley, you have the option of signing up for the Frequent Skier Program. This is a “ski four days and get the fifth free” kind of deal. The fifth day free ticket can be used any day after purchasing $69 lift tickets for Tuesdays through Thursdays. There’s a new ski and snowboard clinic for women called Women of Winter on Wednesdays that’s $59 (or $49 if you book beforehand).

You should also check out the deals Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe is putting up: with the Weekend X-tender you get 3 consecutive day lift tickets for $130. Also, if you ski on a Saturday, and then again the next Monday, show them your Saturday ticket and ski on Monday for just $29. In their “2 ‘fer Tuesdays” deal, you get 2 tickets for the price of 1, and on Wednesdays, students ride for just $35. Oh yea, and Thursdays is Ladies Day, girls ski for $35.

That’s pretty much a deal for every day of the week…hmm, a little ski trip vacay is sounding more possible huh?
