Gstaad ski pad not enough to free Polanski

Switzerland’s top criminal court obviously does not know that Gstaad is #1 on our list of Top Celebrity Ski Towns.  Otherwise, the court would not have devalued the offer Roman Polanski made to secure bail. The director of Rosemary’s Baby, Chinatown, and The Pianist offered up his Gstaad chalet, but the court rejected the offer and now Polanski’s lawyer said they will draw up a new request this Monday.

Polanski currently resides in Swiss prison, awaiting a decision on his extradition to the United States.  Polanski has been a fugitive of law since admitting in 1978 that he had sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Even the famed bail hopper could not hop away from his Gstaad chalet, could he?  What could be worth more than a ski chalet at the famed and exclusive ski resort town of Gstaad?
