Thursday, November 26th, Thanksgiving Day, is opening day at Snowmass and Aspen Mountain. What better way to kick off the celebration than with a free concert by The John Popper Project featuring DJ Logic? They’ll be jamming at the base of Aspen Mountain Saturday November 28th at 7pm. This show is part of a free concert series going on all season called The Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert series. Here are the other concert dates:  Nov. 28, Jan. 30, Feb. 14, Mar. 21 and Mar. 26. In past years, performers have included: Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Galactic, Pennywise, Blues Traveler, North Mississippi Allstars, De La Soul, Ozomatli, and Everclear.

John Rigney, Vice President of Sales and Events for the Aspen Skiing Company said: “This has become an exciting tradition for us to kick off the season. John Popper has many fans in Aspen and is an excellent performer. This show will bring great energy to the Winternational weekend, the Bud-Light Hi-Fi Series and the beginning of the 2009-2010 winter season.”                                                       photo couretsy of clebnewswire.com

He’s referring to the Aspen Winternational Audi FIS Women’s World Cup, happening on Aspen Mountain November 28th and 29th. Should be a festive and fun Thanksgiving weekend in Aspen this year!
