Officials at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont will make the final call on Thursday at 6 PM, but if they give the green light, then get ready for a sick rail jam at Killington on Saturday to kick off the season. At 6 PM officials will make the decision, and then at 8 PM Thursday, registration opens, so keep your browsers set to killington.com for updates. You’ll want to jump on the registration seeing as how there are only 60 spots available.

The Back to SHRED Rail Jam is set to take place in front of Killington’s K-1 Lodge. The snowmaking guns will be out every night this week to prepare. The forecast looks OK for snowmaking, and there should be some natural snow tonight through Friday morning. Tom Horrocks, Killington spokesperson: “As we’ve stated all along, we’re all very excited to get the season going with top-to-bottom skiing off Killington Peak served by the K-1 Gondola.”
