Storms in Oregon. Bring on the snow!

Last night, gusts of wind showed no mercy.  Gusts of wind clocking between 60 to 90 mph – surely something is brewing.

Today, warnings remain in effect for most of the Oregon and Washington coasts through 4 p.m. this evening.

The storm streams out of Alaska and is paired with wind and heavy rain.  What does this mean, for say, Timberline LodgeSkiing could begin this weekend if enough snow falls.  Snowfall rates are estimated to range between six to ten inches every 12 hours through (at least!) Saturday night.

There may even be enough snow for Mt. Hood Ski Bowl to open, but apparently not this weekend.  Soon!  We’re all anxious!  Don’t worry, The Ski Channel will keep you updated!
