Here’s a brief newsbreak regarding the world of Nordic Combined skiing.

American ski coach Scott Johnstone, quite the nordic skier in his day, has been hired to be the new coach for the Nordic Combined Canada team. Jason Myslicki and Wesley Savill from the team have already qualified for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.

As far as the US Team goes, they’re set to arrive in Norway for training November 9th. Here’s head coach Dave Jarrett: “Billy [Demong] is recovering nicely, Johnny [Spillane] is back in business, albeit not in the olace he wants to be in November…but we are focused on February not December. Todd [Lodwick] is doing well and Eric [Camerota] is training pretty much full time again with the team.”
