More snow set to hit Lake Tahoe area

Mother Nature is set to bring some winter-like weather this week, which means a possibility of several inches of snow for the Lake Tahoe region. By Wednesday afternoon or evening, we can expect the low pressure system coming off the coast of Alaska to throw us some rain and snow for the mid-week. Here’s an extended forecast, courtesy of the Tahoe Daily Tribune:

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51. South wind between 5 and 15 mph.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. South wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49. Southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Veterans Day: A chance of rain after 10 a.m. Snow level 7500 feet. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Wednesday Night: Snow likely. Mostly cloudy and breezy, with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 39.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Saturday: A slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 42.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45.
