Hurrah! Rejoice! Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon is opening TODAY to kick off the 2009-2010 ski season! Like many other resorts this year, this marks one of the earliest openings for the now 42-year-old resort.

The day lasts from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and adult lift tickets are $52, $30 for kids age 7 to 14 and seniors age 65 and over. Kids six and under get a season pass for $9! Also, Veterans and military personnel get a 10 dollar discount with ID. Happy Veteran’s Day to them!!

Mother Nature is smiling on the Oregon ski and snowboard community, having dumped 40 inches there since Friday. More snow is expected to be on its way, so Mt. Hood is expecting more lifts to open soon. Right now, the base is at 32 inches with more higher on the mountain.

If you’re heading to Mt. Hood today or anytime soon, we’d love to hear from you. Let us know how it rocked!

Already feels like a good day today…
