In February of next year, Colorado will, for the first time, be host to a series of Telemark World Cup ski races. France, Norway, Spain and Austria are amongst the other stops on the circuit. The first stop in Colorado will be at the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club from February 21-23. Races will include a Sprint Classic at Howelsen Hill and a Telemark GS at Mt. Warner. Then, races will continue at Keystone Resort with the Classic race on the 25th and 26th followed by Telemark GS races again on the following two days.

Here’s Tory Hauser, Events Director for the U.S. Telemark Ski Association. “It is a great advantage for our team members to be able to race on slopes that they are familiar with and a great way to expose racers from around the world to the great skiing and facilities that Colorado has to offer.”
