The alpine skiers have had their season under way, but the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team athletes are just getting started. The mogul skiers have headed to Breckenridge, CO, and are awaiting the next snow storm, to build some bumps. I

In the meantime, they’ve been sweating it out at the Breckenridge Recreation Center, their off-snow ‘camp’ home. “The Breckenridge Recreation Center has really stepped up the last four years to provide training for the U.S. Freestyle Moguls Team,” said Moguls Head Coach Scott Rawles. “Jenise Jensen [administrative services manager] and her staff consistently go above and beyond to provide the opportunities that we need for our push to the Winter Games in Vancouver.”

In attendance are World Cup Moguls Champion Hannah Kearney and 208 National Champ Michael Morse among others. Want to see them? Head over today at 5:30 to work out. You’ll have the chance to exercise side-by-side with the athletes and score some autographs. “This is a great chance for ski enthusiasts to train with top U.S. Ski Team athletes like Hannah Kearney and Michael Morse,” said Rawles. “Not only will it be an amazing experience for everyone involved but they will also get some quality training tips in an awesome facility like the one here at Breckenridge.”

There will be three different classes that visitors can participate in with the team. Body Pump and cycling will be starting at 5:30 pm followed by a yoga session at 6:15 pm. The Center is expecting a high number of people to attend so those looking to participate should arrive early.
