Breckenridge locals who frequent the Recreation Center got a thrill yesterday when members of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team took part in one of the group workout classes there. While all of the ski teamsters are obviously in rocking shape, rookie Shane Cordeau admitted the Body Pump class wasn’t so easy. “That was brutal,” Cordeau said with a laugh. “I think those instructors were in a lot better shape than me.” An instructor reponded with: “They did really weIl. I mean, they do Olympic-style lifting, so they’re strong. This is more of an endurance workout, but they did well.”

The presence of the athletes definitely amped up the vibes of the class. Jen Farrington was another instructor: “It was fun, definitely high energy. I think everyone had a little buzz because of it. I loved it.”

Besides Shane Cordeau, some other team members who took part in the classes included World Cup champ Hannah Kearney, Michael Morse, Jimmy and Joe Discoe, Landon Gardner and Ani Haas.
