Watch live timing of tomorrow’s Levi World Cup

Insomniacs: Listen up! The women’s slalom portion of the Audi FIS World Cup takes place tomorrow in Levi, Finland (with the men skiing Sunday), and here’s how to get in on the action, live:

Visit the FIS Web site (www.fis-ski.com) and click on Live Timing, toward the bottom left of the page. Next, click Alpine Skiing and then the World Cup of your choice. At this point, it’s Levi.

The race starts at 10 am local time, which is the middle of the night for us Americans. But if you get home from the bar and just can’t sleep, why not virtually watch the race. You can’t view the skiers, but the FIS Web feature is live and shows their split times (along with their final times). Live Timing also shows the run order, so you can watch (and wait) for your favorite skiers to take to the slopes. U.S. Ski Team athletes Kaylin Richardson, Sarah Schleper, Resi Steigler, Hailey Duke, Sterling Grant and of course Lindsey Vonn are all raring to go. (Vonn starts fourth, by the way, so if you want to catch her first run live, watch out and wake up.)

Universal.com will air the race tomorrow at 10 EST. If you want to catch the first run live, however, you’ve got to go easy on the sleep.
