Copper Mountain to be under new ownership

Expected to take effect in December of this year (as in, next month), Colorado’s gorgeous Copper Mountain ski resort will have a new owner. They will no longer be part of Intrawest (owners of Whistler, Steamboat, Winter Park, Snowshoe and more). Their new owners will be Powdr Corp of Park City, Utah.

Powdr Corp has ownership interests in Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort, as well as Killington in Vermont, Oregon’s Mt. Bachelor, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort and Boreal Mountain, California.

Although ownership is changing hands, nothing should change at Copper this year. All deals on season passes, vacation passes and lift tickets will not be affected.
